CORE REQUIRED: YES. When you receive the pump you will receive a prepaid USPS priority shipping label to ship your old pump back. You can ship it back in the same box and it can be picked up by the mailman or dropped off at the post office. I am running this portion of my business on the honor system and paying for the return shipping label up front. It's appreciated to get the core pump back within 21 days. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Johnson F5B-9 OEM Rebuilt Raw Water Pump. All our pumps are fully torn down, sandblasted and inspected. Pumps with excessive wear will get the end plate resurfaced. A new bearing, SS hex bolts, impeller, o-ring, shaft seal with SS spring and retaining ring has been installed. The pumps are painted red or black, tested and lubricated with glycerin impeller lube. All you have to do is install it and return your core so I can continue to offer this service.

PUMP INFORMATION: This raw pump is an industry standard and is used as an OEM pump on a wide variety of marine engines. The latest impeller kit this pump uses is 09-1027B-1 or 09-1027B-10 1.25". It was used on many 4.3L, 5.0L and 5.7L. If you are unsure about your pump just send me a message or give me a call with your complete engine model and I'll get you the right pump!

WARRANTY: I offer a 90 day warranty from when the pump arrives. If you purchase the pump in the winter and are in an area where you don't boat year round then the warranty starts on April 1st. Symptoms of a bad raw water pump: Pump may leak water out of the weep hole, growling or howling sound from bad bearing, engine overheats or high exhaust temperature due to low output.
